Not just any church can accomplish the mission that we have at Trinity
Church. In order to successfully achieve our mission, we must be a
distinctive kind of church. We are a family with a distinctive set of
deeply held beliefs about how we do ministry.
Relational
Evangelism
We believe
that people matter to God an therefore ought to matter to us
(Luke 15). |
Intentional Discipleship |
We believe
that full devotion to Christ and His cause is normal for every
believer. We measure success by the quality of disciples we
build for Christ (Heb. 12:1; Luke 9:23-24). |
Authentic Community
We
believe Christian growth, life change, and pastoral care happens
best in safe, authentic relationships. God made us to know and be known, serve
and be served, love and be loved, celebrate
and be celebrated (Acts 2:42-46).
Biblical Truth |
We
believe the Word of God is the catalyst for transformation and we call people to submission under its
wisdom and authority (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Hebrews
4:12).
Healthy Family
We believe the
family is God’s building block for society. We
desire to help strengthen and equip homes, mend
and heal broken families and encourage
dads to shepherd their families. Family-centered ministry is a high priority – first to men, as
well as women, couples, students and children
(Eph. 5:22-6:4). |
Empowering Leaders
We believe in
identifying and training emerging leaders who
are fully committed to Christ. Our goal is to
reproduce our lives in others and expand the base of
leadership. The ultimate test of a successful
leader is not necessarily found in what he does, but
rather, in what others are doing as a result of
what he has done (2 Tim. 2:2). |
Gift-based Service
We believe
God has called every believer to be a
minister, not a spectator. We believe
discovering, developing, and deploying gifts with a
servant-heart is God’s strategy for changing the
world (Eph. 4:12-16; 2:10; Rom. 12).
Transforming Grace
We believe God wants to
redeem every part of us.
Fears, failures, and broken parts can be restored and
made whole through a ministry of grace, truth
and time to the mind, will, body and spirit (2 Cor. 12:9). |
Dynamic Worship |
We believe
through bold preaching and contemporary
participative worship experiences, people will
acknowledge the presence of God in their midst,
glorify Him, and find themselves being
transformed. (Col. 3:17; 2 Tim 4:2) |
Life Changing Prayer
We
believe we must be willing to step out in visionary
faith and take risks for God while at the same time undergird the ministry with bold prayer. We
daily surrender to the leadership of the Spirit.
(Heb. 11:6; John 15:5) |

If
you are a follower of Jesus Christ, this is the vision we want you to
adopt and live out. Life is too short to spend it doing something
irrelevant. Becoming a “big shot”, making lots of money, amassing lots
of power, stockpiling lots of stuff – these are not relevant reasons for
living. Changing people’s lives and their eternal destinies IS! This
is the exciting privilege that God has given us on the Northshore.
We invite you to come and join us in changing this region for Jesus
Christ.
